"I experience the most freedom when the canvas is stretched on the wall, and primed with gesso. The composition and painting develops on the large mounted canvas. Moving to the correct size and placement. Once the actual size is determined, the canvas is pulled from the wall, and mounted on art board. This board allows attachment of mixed media elements, in an archival manner. I believe it helps develop an atmosphere to the painting."
Subject Matter: Wildlife Animals to Abstracts
"I understand the animals I create. They are simple and noble without pretense. Their strength inspires me.
"The abstracts are about line, value, design, composition, mark-making, color and atmosphere, the basic elements of art."
